Love God. Love people. Reach the community.

History

1983-84 Church Plant

Early in 1983, King’s Church was planted out by Basingstoke Community Church. This was with a clear prophetic word from Revelation 3 v 7-13 about God placing before us “an open door.”

28 people in all came up from Basingstoke. Andy and Shaaron Forbes (King’s Church Current Senior Pastors) are the only original members left from Basingstoke.

Wolverton Church was planted out with a prophetic word to Andy from Joshua 1 – “I will give you every place where you set your foot.”

New Pastors

In 2000, Andy and Shaaron were prayed in as the new Senior Pastors with the prophetic word of Joshua 1.

New Name

In the early 2000’s we renamed the church “King’s Church MK”.

New Buildings

Wesley’s Old Methodist Church

In March 2012, we sold our old property ‘The King’s Centre’ (an old house with land) and purchased Wesley’s Old Methodist Church in Wolverton.

This is a Grade II listed building in need of substantial renovations.

King’s Community Centre

In 2014, we then purchased the community centre next to Wesley’s Old Methodist Church. This allowed us to run our Sunday services and youth clubs, as well as many community groups throughout the week.
